Jewellery Care & E-Coat Guide

Our pieces are crafted with 925 sterling silver and a protective e-coat (anti-tarnish technology). This coating helps slow tarnishing and preserve shine—best results come from simple, consistent care.

What “Anti-Tarnish E-Coat” Means
  • Protective barrier: Helps reduce oxidation (tarnish) and surface dullness.
  • Not invincible: Water, sweat, friction, and chemicals can still wear it down over time.
  • Wear-smart: With good care, the finish lasts longer and stays brighter.

Note on longevity: Our anti-tarnish e-coat is designed to slow natural oxidation and preserve shine. As jewellery is worn against the skin, exposure to water, sweat, chemicals, and friction will affect longevity over time. Changes caused by normal wear or care not followed are not considered a manufacturing fault.

Daily Care (Best Practice)

Step by step
  1. Put jewellery on last: Apply perfume, hair products, sunscreen, and lotions first.
  2. Keep it dry when you can: Remove before showering, swimming, saunas, and cleaning.
  3. Avoid sweat + friction: Take off before workouts and intense activity.
  4. Wipe after wear: Use a soft, dry cloth to remove oils and moisture.
  5. Store properly: Keep in a pouch or sealed bag in a cool, dry place.

Quick tip: If you want maximum longevity, treat coated pieces as water-resistant for daily life rather than “waterproof.”

Avoid These (They Wear Coatings Faster)

Avoid
  • Chlorine, saltwater, hot tubs
  • Cleaning products, alcohol sprays, sanitiser directly on jewellery
  • Perfume / hairspray applied on top of jewellery
  • Sleeping in jewellery (friction + pressure)

Cleaning (Safe Method)

Safe
  1. Use a soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface.
  2. If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water and wipe—then dry immediately.
  3. Avoid abrasive polishing cloths or silver dips (they can strip plating/e-coat).

Plated Pieces (Gold / Rose Gold)

Plating

Plating is a surface layer. With frequent water exposure, sweat, and friction, it will naturally soften over time. The care steps above are the best way to keep the tone rich and even.

Storage Checklist

Storage
  • Store each piece separately to prevent scratching
  • Keep away from humid areas (bathroom drawers = not ideal)
  • Use a pouch or sealed bag for best anti-tarnish protection
